The Vision Behind Almond Wind
Before Almond Wind, founder Brooke Sharpton spent more than a decade managing $200 million portfolios on Wall Street.
Her work demanded precision, discipline, and structure.
But outside the boardroom, she was drawn to something more tactile — the spaces where life actually happens.
Home.
She began noticing how furniture shapes the feeling of a room. How the right piece can anchor a space, invite conversation, and quietly become part of everyday life.
That idea became the foundation for Almond Wind.
Why The Name Almond Wind ?
Almond Wind reflects the feeling behind the brand.
Almond represents the rich earth tones found across West African homes and landscapes - warm browns, red rust clay, olive greens, textured neutrals.
Wind represents movement - the invisible connection that carries culture, memory, and inspiration across the oceans and generations.
Together, Almond Wind is a reminder that the spaces we create are still connected to the places we come from.
Inspired by Home
The brand is built around five signature fabrics
Green olive mohair, red rust mohair, fawn mohair, cream boucle, and grey chenille — colors and textures inspired by tones often found across West African homes and landscapes.
Warm clay walls. Soft woven textiles. Earthy greens and textured neutrals.
These influences shape the palette and feeling behind every Almond Wind collection.
A New Kind of Luxury
As a proudly Black-owned brand, Almond Wind approaches luxury differently.
Not as something distant or untouchable — but as something personal.
Luxury is the feeling of coming home to a space that reflects who you are.
Spaces designed for hosting, relaxing, celebrating, and unwinding.
Spaces that feel curated, never crowded.
Because true luxury isn’t loud.
It’s comfort.
It’s intention.
It’s home.
